Salt & Fern
A coastal small-plates restaurant that changes the menu twelve times a year — the site had to make "we don't know tonight's menu yet" a selling point.

Brief
Salt & Fern cooks whatever the boats and farms bring that morning — everything within fifteen miles, nothing in a freezer. A fixed menu on the site would be a lie by lunchtime.
Approach
Bright, coastal, unfussy. The suppliers get named with their distance. The menu section explains the method instead of listing dishes. The tone is "a friend's house on the coast," and the site sounds like that.
Decisions
- Name the farms. Marren Bay Orchard, six miles. Cutter & Sons, two. That's the proof.
- No static menu — a short note on how the kitchen decides, updated when it matters.
What's built
Responsive site, light and dark, fast. The sourcing story, the method, hours and location, and a reservation link.
