Brief
Ember & Oak has one rule — if it can't be cooked well with wood and time, it's not on the menu. The site had to carry that conviction and set the expectation: one tasting menu, no à la carte, book ahead.
Approach
Dark, warm, deliberate. The method is the story — the woods used, the fire, the chef inspecting each primal. The menu is a sequence, not a list, and it changes, so the site describes the approach rather than freezing tonight's courses.
Decisions
- The constraint is the pitch. "No gas, no electricity" is the headline.
- One menu, stated up front — no à la carte page to maintain.
What's built
Responsive site, light and dark, fast. The philosophy, the kitchen, the tasting format, and reservations.
